The Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and evolving Heila’s branding and positioning. They own the planning, development, and execution of Heila's marketing, public relations, communications, and advertising initiatives. They ensure Heila's message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences to meet sales objectives. They are also responsible for growing Heila’s inhouse marketing team and managing external consultants and contractors to implement Heila’s marketing strategies.


  • Lead the evolution of Heila’s branding, messaging, and positioning as the company scales up.
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of Heila’s content across the entire organization, including all written and audio-visual content generation.
  • Collaborate with Heila’s Sales, Strategy, Product, and Engineering Teams to launch new product features, offerings, and pricing leveraging market research as well as consumer and industry insights.
  • Lead website design and content, digital advertising, paid search and display, email marketing, referral marketing, SEO and landing page conversion testing.
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of Heila’s presence across all relevant social media platforms.
  • Lead Heila’s media, analyst, and influencers’ relations, including interviews, news outreach, trend pieces, and executive profiles.
  • Provide marketing support to the Sales Team including communication of value proposition and publication of product materials.
  • Lead, working closely with the Sales Team the company’s trade show activities.
- Measure the success of all marketing initiatives against financial results, ensuring that all strategies are focused on improving the company’s short- and long-term financial objectives.



  • 8+ years in leadership roles, driving and implementing business and marketing strategies.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience translating strategy into execution and building up a marketing team.
  • Experience using data driven B2B marketing to position and sell complex products and services.
  • Experience translating metrics across a diversified salesforce into a well-defined and goal driven marketing strategy.
  • Excellent understanding and authority within the clean-tech industry to drive/influence trends.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of control and optimization systems used in DER projects.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of DER equipment and applications – including solar arrays, batteries, generators, fuel cells, among other.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of resilience and economic use cases in DER projects.
  • Experience marketing new products to price-sensitive energy industry organizations such as large C&I companies (especially those with heavy manufacturing footprints), large energy asset management companies, large utilities, and large project development / construction firms.
Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach, along proven experience leading a marketing team.
  • A strong interest in, and sense of responsibility for, effectively scaling the business to reach its fullest potential and maximize its impact in the industry.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
